The Birth of Computing


The journey of computer science begins with the birth of computing machines. In the early 19th century, Charles Babbage conceptualized the idea of a programmable machine known as the Analytical Engine. Although it was never built, Babbage's work laid the foundation for modern computers. Fast forward to the mid-20th century, the invention of the first electronic computer, the ENIAC, marked a significant milestone in computer science.


The Rise of Programming Languages


As computers became more powerful, the need for efficient programming languages arose. In the 1950s, FORTRAN, the first high-level programming language, was developed. This breakthrough allowed programmers to write code in a more human-readable format, making it easier to develop complex applications.
